The greatest organisational leaders are not the ones with degrees in Management or Leadership. Neither are they the ones who have attended or facilitated leadership training at all levels.
Rather, they are those who have sincere hearts. Who would not manipulate staff, clients, figures, etc. These ones might not have all the certificates there are, but they have developed their character over the years.
As stewards, (whether owners, or management staff) they will not allocate contracts to a more expensive bidder just to get kickback. They will not rob their organisation of funds. They will respect their staff, and genuinely care for the people; and this will be expressed by the decisions they take when no one is watching.
Final analysis, you are in a good place if you have all the requisite “skill set”, “mind set”, “brain set”. However, if your “heart set” is questionable, you are a disaster waiting to happen.
Dear leaders, character is a currency you do not want to joke with.
